What is this initiative?

This initiative is owned and led by General Counsel and the In-House Signatory Community representing the in-house legal functions of over 100 major corporations. The common goal is supporting meaningful equity, diversity and inclusion across the legal profession.

GCD&I’s Working Groups are populated by members of the Signatory Teams who work with passion, energy and a collaborative spirit to develop tools and content to support Signatories and the wider Partner Community.

• In-House Working Group:  Our mission is to challenge and cement the role of equity, diversity & inclusion in the In-House legal team as a building block for business success.
• Legal Service Provider Working Group : Our mission is to move the needle in terms of how In-House Signatories engage with law firms in ways that promote greater equity, diversity and inclusion.
• External Engagement Working Group: Our mission is to support the objectives of GCD&I through events and communications across the GCD&I Community and more widely.
• KPI and Metrics Taskforce:  Standardising metrics to help measure progress; drive accountability and provide a platform for the conversation between client and law firm

GCD&I also has a number of Expert Communities to provide guidance and support on different areas of diversity,  as well as providing platform to share learning.

How can you get involved?

The Signatory Community are committed to a collaborative model to drive change within the legal ecosystem. Patent Attorney Firms are invited to PARTNER with GCD&I.
