Electric Green Limited, a UK-based company, has developed a wireless electric vehicle (EV) charging system designed to improve accessibility, simplify infrastructure, and support the global shift to cleaner transportation.

Instead of relying on plug-in charging cables, Electric Green’s solution allows vehicles to charge wirelessly by parking over a charging pad. Drivers do not need to exit the vehicle, making the system particularly useful for disabled users, fleet operators, and anyone seeking a more convenient charging experience.

A key feature of this system is its “one-to-many” design. Unlike other wireless systems that require a dedicated unit for each vehicle, Electric Green’s approach allows a single charging unit to power up to 100 charging pads. This reduces installation time, cost, and space, making it easier to roll out infrastructure in urban areas, car parks, and developing regions with limited capacity.

The solution also reduces wear and tear. With fewer physical connectors and no moving parts, there’s reduced risk of damage, improved reliability, and lower maintenance needs over time.

Electric Green has also focused on ease of vehicle integration. Their technology allows existing EVs to be adapted with minimal components and supports both wireless and conventional plug-in charging, improving compatibility and reducing cost barriers for manufacturers and users alike.

Additionally, the company has developed software systems to improve efficiency, safety, and power management during charging, helping to reduce energy loss and enhance user experience.

By encouraging more frequent, convenient charging, the system could support a move to smaller vehicle batteries, reducing reliance on rare earth metals. Electric Green’s technology therefore contributes to cleaner air, reduced emissions, and more sustainable transport systems, supporting the transition to net zero by 2050.
